Insurance

I accept all PPOs and I am a preferred provider for:

Within each group of employers, panels of therapists are selected. Check with your insurance company to find out if I am within the panel of therapists that was selected by your employer. If not, my fee may be out of pocket. Health Insurance can be very confusing. If you have coverage the best thing you can do is contact your insurance company and ask them questions, such as:

  • Do I have outpatient mental health coverage?
  • How many sessions does my coverage allow in one year?
  • Do I have a co-pay? If so how much is it?
  • How much does insurance cover (Sometimes the insurance will pay for 80% of the cost and you will owe 20%, in addition to the co-pay)
  • Ask if your therapist is covered? If they do not have a panel of therapists chosen, they may ask for the therpist’s credentials (Elaine is a licensed therapist (LT)).
  • Does your insurance require a referral to see a therapist? If so, ask if you need a referral from your primary provider or from the referral department of your managed care company.
